JPK Sailing Yacht: Performance, Speed and Offshore Racing Success
A JPK sailing yacht is a high-performance offshore sailing boat known for its speed, stability, and outstanding race results.
Built by JPK Composites in France, these yachts combine true racing DNA with real cruising comfort.
What makes a JPK sailing yacht unique?
A JPK sailing yacht is globally recognised for its exceptional offshore racing performance and surprising comfort on long-distance passages.
Built in Larmor-Plage, near Lorient, these yachts combine pure speed with seaworthiness and reliability.
What truly sets JPK apart: the same shipyard builds both top-tier racing yachts and derived fast cruisers — yachts that uniquely combine speed and comfort.

JPK sailing yacht in offshore racing
The success of the JPK sailing yacht in offshore regattas is unmatched in 2026.
With the new JPK 1050, podium finishes continue to grow.
Dominance in modern offshore races
- Increasing presence in racing fleets
- Multiple podium finishes per class
- One JPK winning across multiple classes
JPK as a Fast Cruiser
The fast cruisers are derived from the racing models.
With added comfort, they are slightly heavier — yet in practice they often match pure racing yachts in performance.
In the extremely demanding Rolex Sydney Hobart Race of 2024, surprisingly, it was not a pure race yacht that won — but a JPK 45 FC.
“FC” stands for Fast Cruiser — where cruising means comfort.
There are three clear reasons to choose a JPK FC:
- You want to sail fast
- You want to sail comfortably
- JPK Composites is a reliable, high-quality shipyard
2026 - Spi Ouest France: JPK 1050, four races, four wins!

Four races, four victories: an incredible streak for the JPK 1050 “PERSAIVERT”, with Alex Ozon as skipper, Jean-Pierre Kelbert and then Meven Flao at the helm, during the Spi Ouest France 2026!
All this against top competition, including the prototype “Lann Ael 3” and the Pogo RC “Aruba”.
Once again a confirmation of the incredible talent of designer Jacques Valer!

As always, a race is won before the starting gun: for us, with Alexis, the race had already begun at the Spi Ouest France 2025, where we discovered our new toy, the JPK 1050… and realized we had a jet fighter in our hands!
The result: A top ranking: we are 1st in IRC Double, IRC2, and above all, 1st in the overall standings, which is simply insane!
I can feel the emotion too, when I think about the origins of the project, the hours of discussions with Jacques and JB about the design, and then with Jean-Michel and the entire JPK team to create this little gem that is so much fun to sail…

Alexis Loison:
“I didn’t expect to win, but we had a good strategy and really fought hard for it,” says Alexis Loison, who concludes 2025 on a high note following his victories in the Rolex Fastnet Race (sailing with Jean-Pierre Kelbert on the new JPK 1050) and the Solitaire du Figaro.
“We did a lot of sail changes. The first two days and the last night were very tough. But in the end, I have so many wonderful memories to show for it. At the finish, we knew we were very close to a fantastic result.”
A fantastic result that the JPK Composites shipyard furthermore crowns with two of their boats in first and second place in the overall standings.
2024 - Sydney Hobart: A JPK 45 FC… wins!

We had a very successful race and finished with a satisfied crew and good results: 2nd in IRC Division 2 and 1st in the Corinthian IRC.
There was quite a bit of wind on the first night, with gusts up to 38 knots. We heard two distress calls, but we were a good distance away from the boats sending the distress call.
After the race, people from other boats were amazed by the luxury we had, such as showers and electric toilets, and yet we had finished ahead of them.
It is a great demonstration of the versatility of the JPK 45 FC. It is a very stable boat with a high ballast ratio and a wide, flat hull. It loves waves and surfing.
