JPK 39-FC, a cruiser yacht built at a shipyard for racers
What makes a JPK 39-FC Performance Cruiser unique?
The JPK 39-FC is a cruiser yacht built by a racing yacht shipyard. FC stands for Fast Cruiser.
This vessel combines the best features of a lightweight, planing racer with a more comfortable cruiser.
The result? An ultra-fast, versatile yacht that performs well in all conditions, is ergonomic, safe, and comfortable, and was named European Yacht of the Year 2022.
Successor to the JPK 38 FC
The JPK-39-FC is the successor to its predecessor, the JPK 38 FC, which was highly praised by all its owners. It possesses the good qualities of the 38, but the hull has been made more powerful by a larger bow section. The inverted roofline modernizes the aesthetics and provides more interior space.
Jean Pierre Kelbert:
Jean-Pierre Kelbert: “With a sailboat based on the JPK 38 FC, which was already an excellent yacht, you are essentially always on the right track… The JPK-39 FC is truly a JPK 38 FC “plus”: A new-generation hull, an aggressive design, ideal ergonomics, meticulous finish… Every aspect, every detail benefits from all the experience gained with the 38 FC and the 45 FC, resulting in a boat that delivers immense sailing pleasure!”
A fast, comfortable and versatile sailing yacht
The JPK39FC has a broad, powerful hull, but with a bow section deep enough to cut through the waves and a hull depth that can handle the extra weight of a long journey. The result is a stable, forgiving boat that can achieve very high average speeds in all conditions.
Fast under all circumstances
Weight is the most important factor on which architect Jacques Valer bases the boat’s design. The goal is to create a hull that is stiff enough to exceed the maximum hull speed while reducing displacement.
The JPK-39FC performs well in all conditions: in light winds, when sailing upwind, but also when sailing downwind.

Jean-Baptiste Dejeanty, architect
“It is difficult to surpass its widely known predecessor, and yet… the redesign of the JPK 38 FC proved to be a particularly challenging task! With its modern, sporty, and timeless design, the JPK 39 attracts attention while remaining simple and highly efficient. Ergonomics, appearance, performance… function and form are one.”
Three keel configurations
There are three keel options available for the JPK-39 FC. The standard 2.15 m keel is also available in a shorter version (1.80 m) and a liftable version, which allows the draft to be reduced from 2.70 m to 1.30 m, so that the boat can be anchored closer to the coast.
Steering wheels or tillers
Since 2026, a steering wheel version has been available as an alternative to the standard tiller configuration. Regardless of personal preference, this option offers a completely different layout and ergonomics for the helm station and deck equipment.
Ergonomic navigation seat
Inspired by years of experience on offshore racing yachts, the chart table is designed for use in all conditions, with an ergonomic layout and navigation angle.
Bright interior space
Thanks to the new, curved roof design, the interior space is higher and illuminated by panoramic windows. The overall effect is warm and light, with all the comfort needed for a relaxed cruise.
Two interior layouts
As standard, the space aft on the starboard side is divided into a storage area and a toilet compartment. There is ample room for sails.
This space can optionally also be obtained as a full-fledged sleeping cabin. In that case, the toilet compartment is on the port side.
Lowering table
The saloon table can be lowered to create an extra double bed. The necessary cushions are stored on the sides of the forward cabin.
